Contributing to the photofoundation
What kinds of images are you looking for?

Our primary purpose is to raise funds for our participating charities so any images that help towards that goal are welcomed. You may submit them by computer, through this site, and via your mobile phone. The bigger and sharper the image the easier it is to use it. Images can be of events put on or sponsored by a nominated charity. Images may also be ones that support our charities' activities. And finally, images might be sold to 3rd parties for a fee as all profits go to the charities.

Do you accept only photograph or do you also accept illustrations?

The photofoundation's primary aim is to assist charities with the sourcing of imagery. All of our images are donated. If you feel that your illustrations would assist a charity to generate revenue then please upload your illustrations via our site. Please note, as with images, we do not guarantee that all images/illustrations will be displayed on the site.

In what format should I submit the photos?

All files must be uploaded in JPG format, the larger the better.

How long does it take for photos to appear on the site?

We moderate all images. We endeavor to review images within 24 hours. On occasion this may take longer depending on the amount of images submitted due to popular charitable events. Note that you will be emailed to let you know when your image has been accepted and published, or declined.

Is there a limit in the number of images I can upload?


There is no limit to the number of images you can contribute.

Why were my images refused?

While we try to accept all photos submitted a few will be rejected as unsuitable or of insufficient quality to be used. Each photo library has its own audience and strategy. Feel free to contact us view our contact form if you wish to find out why your photo was rejected.

I can't find my images on the site?

We inform all donators of our decisions via email. Our communication may have not reached you. Feel free to contact us if you so wish, we will be happy to help.

Can I donate an image I previously submitted to a commercial photo library?

Yes, as long as there are no restrictions from the previous buyer or image library we welcome all contributions.

Can I make any changes to a photo I have already submitted?

Changes can be made once the image has been accepted. Log in and go to MY PROFILE. Click on the photo you have submitted that you want to edit and the next page will have an EDIT button. Click on this, make the changes and then click SAVE. The information will be updated.

I don't want to donate any more images, can I close my account?

Please notify us through our contact form if you would like to close your account and we will close it for you.
