Photofoundation Interview series: George Rice

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!
My favourite things (apart from my family and friends of course) are science, design and photography. I earn a living with the science bit by doing something called Technology Transfer, which basically means I spot inventions coming out of university research and try to turn them into new products and services that we can all benefit from. I live and work in Nottingham (UK) but the job does mean I do quite a bit of travel to places including China and the US. I am married and have a 1 year old called Samuel. 90% of my photos are of Samuel. 5% of my photos are taken shortly after Samuel leaves the frame.

Photofoundation Interview series: Jenny Wymant

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm a cancer research PhD student at Cardiff University. My project is about trying to understand the role of a particular protein in the development and progression of breast cancer. My work involves a lot of fluorescence microscopy which I find fascinating both from a scientific and an artistic point of view. Aside from photography, in my free time I enjoy running, dancing (badly), hiking, reading and science communication.

A post graduate in commerce with 13 yrs of work experience, currently working with United Health Group as Sr.IT Project Manager - I am also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt. I stay at Hyderabad with my parents & married to Purnima who is a Business Analyst (PMP Certified) with Converges. My son is 3 yrs. 4 months old and goes to LKG. My colleagues at office are more like family to me & love to work with them.
